Small Cars Launches in India in 2010

The year 2010 will see many new car launches in India. There are many upcoming small cars in 2010 in India. Here are some of the small cars that will hit the Indian car market in 2010.

Hyundai i30

After an overwhelming success of the i-series in India with the i10 and i20, Hyundai is all set to introduce the i30. The i30 hatchback will have a fuel efficient 1.4-litre engine in diesel and petrol variants. A choice of either a synchronous manual transmission or and automatic transmission will also be offered. The trendy and sleek i30 promises to offer optimal comfort with an array of features with a classy set up. The Hyundai i30 will come loaded with safety features like airbags, electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system and traction control etc. The car will make its Indian debut in the first quarter of 2010.

Fiat Bravo

The smart and elegant Fiat Bravo will hit Indian roads by the end of 2010. The bravo will be powered by a 1.9 L Multi-jet engine that can deliver 148 bhp. The Bravo is big, it turns out to be a sedan-sized hatchback. The front and rear fascia of the Bravo are similar to the Grande Punto. Short bonnet, rounded corners and wedges waistline impart a very contemporary look to the Fiat Bravo. The Bravo hatchback will soon be joined by a Bravo Estate car.

Mahindra Renault Sandero

Hyundai claims that the Sandero from Mahindra-Renault JV sounds like its flagship model Santro. The Mahindra Renault Sandero will be launched in the Indian small car segment in early 2010. The car is more than four metre long, hence roomier compared to other cars in its segment. With a room for five passengers, Sandero offers an option of fitting child seat to any three of the rear seats. Moreover, the rear doors can open up to 67°, making easier access to the rear seats. The Mahindra Renault Sandero will be available in 1.2 L petrol engine and 1.5 L diesel engine.

Fiat Palio CNG

The Fiat Palio will enter the Indian car market with a new heart next year. This time, it will come in CNG version. The Palio CNG will debut in the first quarter of 2010. The Fiat Palio is available in diesel and petrol variants. As CNG is cheaper than both the fuels, the Fiat is expecting that the CNG version will boost the sales of Palio in India.
